Overview

The goal of the Installation Master Plan for Naval Support Activity Annapolis (NSAA) is to create an integrated series of documents which present in graphic, narrative, and tabular form, the present composition of the installation, and a plan for the orderly and comprehensive long-range development. This plan was accomplished through a collaborative effort between the Naval Facilities Command (NAVFAC) Washington, the project design team, led by Klavon Design (with team members The ONYX Group, Greenhorne & O’Mara, Inc. and Standing Stone Consulting, Inc.), and members of the NSAA community, including the United States Naval Academy (USNA), NAAA (Naval Academy Athletic Association), and Public Works.

This Master Plan is the next step of the Naval District Washington (NDW) Regionally Integrated Master Program (RIMP), which consists of four planning documents: the Existing Conditions Report, the Existing Constraints Report, the Proposed Land Use Report, and the Land Use Analysis Report. These planning documents were used as background information for this project. The RIMP also provided recommendations for future land use on the installations within the NAVFAC Washington Area of Responsibility (AOR). The goal of this Master Plan is to apply the recommendations from the RIMP to a local (installation) level. The Master Plan addresses short-term, intermediate, and long-term needs to be in line with NDW’s RIMP.
