Overview

As part of the Eliza Furnace Trail, our design goal was to create a diverse experience for trail users as well as those driving along the parkway. Using contextual characteristics such as paving materials, tree grates, curb materials, and streetlights as design cues, we created a space that provides subtle clues that one is entering or leaving downtown Pittsburgh.
