75 Hopper Place plaza
Pittsburgh, PA
Overview
75 Hopper Place is a part of the 3 Crossings development located within Pittsburgh’s Strip District on the northeast corner of 29th Street and Railroad. The proposed campus will include renovated buildings, new construction, and a central public outdoor space that rests over an underground one-story parking structure – Hopper Park. The park’s walkways extend from a central hardscape plaza to the street grid and provides opportunity for future connections to the Riverfront Trail Network and the riverfront.
Collaborating with WTW Architects who designed the building at 75 Hopper Place, Klavon’s team ensured that the project will achieve LEED Silver Certification. The park is designed for both passive and active engagements and includes a mix of native plantings, seat walls, and hardscaped plaza space. The space was designed with the intent of including a variety of users such as bicyclists, pedestrians, businesses within the campus, and Riverfront Trail Network users.
